About Us

The Harrison County Career & Technical Education Center was constructed in 1975 adjacent to Harrison Central High School.  Enrollment is open to students from Harrison Central, West Harrison, and D’Iberville High Schools.

Students apply for a 2-year program during the 9th or 10th grade.  Applications are accepted during the year prior to enrollment.  Harrison Central students walk across the street to the Center for the period their class meets, while D'Iberville and West Harrison are bussed to the center for their class period.

The mission of the Harrison County Career & Technical Education Center is to deliver high-level career training and employability skill opportunities, while promoting the highest level of academic achievement for our students.  Our career and technical education programs promote creativity, skill attainment, goal setting, personal growth, and leadership roles that ensure success in the world of work and in life.
