For Students

Best Practices for Back To School:

Get enough rest.  Teenagers require more sleep than adults, but often have trouble sleeping.  Have a regular routine, and eliminate sleep distractions (turn off the phone).

Eat a good breakfast.  You can't run at top efficiency on an empty tank.

Come to school prepared.  Do your homework and have it ready for the next day.

Try something new this year.  A sport, club or activity is a excellent way to get more out of high school, develop new skills, and meet new people.

Put the past behind you.  One of the great opportunities in high school is that every year is a new start.  Don't let last year's challenges keep you from making the most of this year. You have a "Do Over"--don't waste it!

Don't be afraid to ask for help.  High school is a learning experience.  No one knows it all. Your teachers, counselor, and Student Services Coordinator and director are here for you.
